Encounter nature, the elements and the wild!
This idea, ‘Dunkeld Adventure,’ was conceived as a fundraiser for a new Dunkeld Community Centre. The town hall in Dunkeld is falling apart and no longer in a state to be widely used by the community. The town’s community facilities are also in a very poor state of repair. A plan was developed to build a multi-function centre, incorporating the hall, to be used by all sections of the community.
Dunkeld Adventure’s signature event began in 2010 with The Serra Terror Team Hike. Since then it has grown to be a key part of the towns tourism program promoting Dunkeld, the Southern Grampians and the Grampians National Park. This event is held annually on the Queen’s Birthday weekend in June.
SERRA TERROR IV, Friday 7th – Monday 10th June 2013
- An 80 km team hike
- 2 categories : 4 person endurance team or a relay team with 5-8 participants
